2020 Jeep Gladiator Stakes a Claim in the Midsize Truck Segment

Capability has always been at the center of Jeep's lineup. Now, the auto maker offers even more capability with its return to the midsize truck segment.

Indeed, the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator is the brand's newest foray into pickup truck design. Combining the rugged capability and style of the popular Wrangler model with the pragmatism and versatility of a pickup truck, the 2020 Gladiator offers what many drivers near Cape Girardeau and Carbondale, IL have craving for years.

Jeep Gladiator Feature Breakdown

Many of the design elements in the new Gladiator have been lifted right out of the Wrangler. Both the front-end looks and interior appointments come right out of the popular off-roader, so experienced Jeep enthusiasts will feel right at home.

When it comes to body configurations, the Gladiator offers just one. Every Gladiator comes in a four-door, short-bed layout. It's one of the most popular and versatile truck body configurations on the road. You'll get both a sizeable pickup bed and space for five passengers.

The 2020 Gladiator is much more than just rugged looks -- it has honest truck capabilities to back it up.

Every single Gladiator comes with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that makes 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Every model also gets a long wheelbase, body-on-frame engineering, and solid axles at both ends. The results are impressive.

  • 7,650 Pounds Max Towing
  • 1,600 Pounds Max Payload
  • Estimated 23 MPG Highway

The Gladiator is an excellent choice for off-road enthusiasts as well. Standard four-wheel drive and high ground-clearance give it a base level of all-terrain aptitude. However, the Gladiator Rubicon is the true champion of off-road courses. It comes with locking front and rear differentials, upgraded all-terrain tires, skid plates, a front-facing trail camera, and more.

As you're cruising to a remote location near Sikeston or Jackson, MO in your Gladiator, you can stay in touch with truly modern technology features. Jeep offers three available Uconnect infotainment systems in the truck, each one compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Voice commands and steering wheel controls allow you to control these features without taking your attention away from the road.

2020 Gladiator Trim Levels

Gladiator Sport S: A few simple upgrades elevate the Gladiator Sport S. Standard 17-inch wheels set off its appearance, while available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto let you operate your smartphone through the Uconnect display.

Gladiator Overland: If you're looking for standard leather upholstery, you'll find it in the Gladiator Overland. This model gives you more creature comforts and active safety technology like Adaptive Cruise Control.

Gladiator Rubicon: The most rugged of the new Gladiator models comes with standard all-terrain tires, disconnecting front sway bars, locking differentials, and much more. It's designed specifically to handle the most demanding off-road challenges.
