What's New?
The new Ram 1500 TRX finally arrives for the 2021 model year with its scooped hood and supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V8 engine. While the Hellcat-powered models have been eagerly anticipated by fans, the new model also means some other cool new options for the milder versions.There's an available head-up display available in 2021 along with a digital rearview mirror to help when backing up to a trailer. The infotainment system now provides reports to help with off-roading like height, pitch-and-roll monitoring, and transfer-case mode. Plus, there are some new features offered specifically for trailers and expanded in the lineup like pedestrian detection and forward-collision.
A new 10th Anniversary Edition is now available for Longhorn models with a slew of cool features like unique badging, trim pieces, and Mountain Brown as an interior option.
Interior
The cabin of the new Ram 1500 is among the finest in its class. Its doors open wide for easier entry and exit with easy-to-grip handles. The controls are in easy reach of the driver who has an excellent view to see the road and various angles around the truck.There's an abundance of space inside for the comfort of drivers and passengers alike. The amount of rear-seat legroom has no equal in the segment. Nice, big windows provide great outward visibility.

Exterior
The crosshair grille is gone in 2021 and replaced with a slimmer one with slim headlights situated around it. The grille on Rebel models looks like a mustache but that's the only deviation. The new TRX models get distinctive and more aggressive styling.You can choose from three headlight types: halogen, LED, and LED with adaptive front-lighting. There's a new 115-volt outlet in the RamBox bed storage unit and the tailgate is now damped with lift assist.
Performance
The new Ram 1500 offers V6 and V8 combustion engines across its lineup, all mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that shifts very smoothly. Either engine gets backup from the 48-volt eTorque hybrid system. The 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 you can have without the electric backup.The standard engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine with an optional 5.7-liter V8 that features variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation. The TRX models get the 6.2-liter HEMI® V8. There's also a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that puts out good power and impressive torque.
The standard suspension uses coil springs with optional air springs. No matter which new Ram 1500 model you choose, the ride is just what you're looking for. It can be a smooth-as-glass luxury ride or a rugged warrior for your off-road adventures.

The new Ram 1500 is available in either a crew-cab or quad-cab configurations. The quad-cab has a longer bed at 6-feet-4-inches. The crew-cab models have a shorter 5-feet-7-inch bed.
There are four available engines depending on configuration and trim level. The base V6 comes standard with Ram's eTorque system. The 5.7-liter V8 is available with or without eTorque. There's also the turbodiesel and the 6.2-liter V8 exclusive to the new TRX models.
